Vaccination Schedule

Puppy Vaccinations

1. Parvovirus

2. Combination vaccine without leptospirosis -often called a 5 way vaccine, usually includes adenovirus cough and hepatitis, canine distemper, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. Some combination vaccines may also include leptospirosis (7 way)

Coronavirus- where coronavirus is a concern, check with your local vet.

3. Rabies

4. Combination vaccine- (with leptospirosis where there is a concern)

Coronavirus- where coronavirus is a concern

Lyme- where lyme is a concern
5 wks Parvovirus: For puppies at high risk. Check with your local veterinarian.
6 & 9 wks Combination vaccine* without leptospirosis.
Coronavirus: Where coronavirus is a concern.
12 wks or older Rabies: Given by your local veterinarian (age at vaccination may vary according to local law).
12 & 15 wks Combination vaccine*: Include leptospirosis where it is a concern, or if traveling to an area where it occurs.

Deworming Schedule

We use Pyrantal (Strongid) from our vet for deworming for the puppies or (Nemex 2)

1. 2 weeks old

2. 4 weeks old

3. 6 weeks old

4. 8 weeks old

5. 10 & 12 weeks old-if puppy is having issues such as loose stools

6. monthly until pup reaches 6 months of age

7. every 6 months as adult along with a heartworm preventative. Heartworm preventative can be started at 8 weeks. Then monthly, during active mosquito season.

**Some puppies may need additional vaccinations against parvovirus after 15 weeks of age. Consult with your local veterinarian. Bordetella and parainfluenza: For complete canine cough protection, we recommend Intra-Trac III ADT . For dogs that are shown, in field trials, or are boarded, we recommend vaccination every six to twelve months with Intra-Trac III ADT.
